Dadun complies with the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PHM) standards, which facilitates search and retrieval.

Full-text records can be harvested by robots in a timely manner. Dadun is harvested in Dart-E, Recolecta, OpenAire,  OpenDoar, Base and OAIster.

Any user can access Dadun's metadata and it is collected by search engines, such as Google or Google Scholar.

This metadata can be reused without the need for explicit permissions when it is for non-profit purposes, as long as mention is made of the OAI identifier or the permanent link to the original record of the metadata in Dadun.

Full-text records may not be sold in any format or medium without permission from the copyright holders.
