Managing your Academic Identity

1. Once signed in in Publons, on the Private Dashboard on the Settings section click on "Account" in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
2. On the next screen, you will be able to connect profiles from several paltforms. Click on “Connect” in the ORCID option.
3. Type your ORCID access keys and sign in.
4. In the next screen, click on “Authorize”. Once that is done, click on “Return to Publons”.
5. To sync both profiles and the works featured on both, click on “Permissions” on the Settings section on the left-hand menu.
6. Click on “Grant Publons permission to update your ORCID works”, as well as on “Grant Publons permission to update your ORCID record”.

Each link brings you to the ORCID page where you should “Authorize” the sync. Click on “Save changes”.
